Lumber
Strapping Machine - PLC Control System
-
Development
of an Allen-Bradley SLC 500 based control system for
Signode’s metal and plastic head Lumber Strapping Machines.
-
We
have a co-operative agreement in place recognizing
Pacificon as the exclusive supplier of this control system to
Signode.
-
In
2000, Signode re-designed the strapping head and introduced the KLS
model. The control system program and wiring layout was re-designed
to accommodate the new KLS head and at the same time improve
electrical assembly and troubleshooting procedures.
Forty-five
(45) systems have been sold to various sites across North America,
Australia, New Zealand and Ireland along with eighteen
(18) retrofits to existing machines.
