Knife Projection Monitor System

The Knife Projection Monitor was developed to compliment Carmanah's ring and disc stranders used in the OSB industry. The KPM is a quality  control system that continuously monitors each knife projection on  the strander cutting disc or ring. The KPM has the following features:

Reduces the chance of damaging the strander by  initializing a warning or shutdown signal if the  knives project too close to the anvil.

Reduces down-time after knife changes by  automating the knife projection checking process.

Indicates and records knife projection problems while the strander is operating

Provides quality control personnel with the means to monitor strand thickness variations.
